Record Crowds, Hot Racing at Super Chevy Huntsville

23, 2007) -- The O'Reilly Super Chevy Show crew was probably
singing a chorus of "Sweet Home Alabama" as they left Huntsville Dragway
Sunday night.
North Alabama residents turned out by the thousands to enjoy the
Aeromotive Nitro Coupe Challenge and other hot racing along with the cool
cars of the TREMEC Transmission Car Show Series.

Aeromotive Nitro Coupe Runner Up Willie
Brainerd |
Jerry Rhodes took the Aeromotive Nitro Coupe Challenge title for
Huntsville with a win over "Slick" Willie Brainerd in the finals. Rhodes
ran an 1/8 mile blast of 4.021 at 167.60 miles per hour to seal the deal
over Brainerd, whose Aeromotive Nitro Coupe ran a 4.298 at a73.14 miles
per hour. Aeromotive Nitro Coupe Challenge points players Tony "Sandman"
Williams and Buddy Farmer were the semi-finalists.
The "All-Star" driving award for the weekend goes to Huntsville Dragway
Hometown Hero Bubba Boyd. Bubba won the DOT Street Fight and made it to
the finals of the Jeg's Bracket Battle before losing to T. Berry.
When the dust had settled, it was an all - dragster final in the
ProCharger Bracket One Brawl. Tennessee's Brandon Richardson came out on
top of Ft. Payne, Alabama racer Kenny Middlebrooks.

Jr Dragster Winner Chelsea Van Cleve |
It was an all-ladies affair in the Jr. Dragster wars as Chelsea Van
Cleve lined it up against Kaelyn Holt in the finals. Chelsea came out on
top with a holt shot win.
